Christmas Beeswax Candle Making & Gift Wrapping Workshop at The Walled Garden
Roll, decorate, print and wrap a beautiful handmade Christmas gift!
Saturday 28th November 2026
9:30am
It’s also Christmas Fair weekend at The Walled Garden!
There’s something rather lovely about giving a Christmas present you’ve actually made yourself – particularly when it smells this good!
Join Carole and the Easely Does It team at the beautiful Walled Garden in West Wycombe for a wonderfully cosy morning of rolled beeswax candle making, natural Christmas decorations and traditional Indian block printing.
You’ll make a beautiful pair of chunky rolled beeswax candles, decorate them with dried fruits and festive embellishments, then nestle them together in a kraft gift box.
But we’re not stopping there…
You’ll also try your hand at Indian block printing, creating your own festive gift tag and a sheet of hand-printed wrapping paper to complete your present.
By the end of the workshop, you’ll have a gorgeous handmade Christmas gift that’s almost too lovely to give away.
Almost.
And with The Walled Garden’s Christmas Fair taking place the very same weekend, it’s the perfect excuse to make a whole festive day of it!
Roll Your Own Beeswax Candles
We’ll begin with beautiful sheets of natural beeswax, learning how to carefully roll them around a wick to create a pair of gorgeous chunky candles.
Beeswax has a naturally warm golden colour, beautiful honeycomb texture and the most wonderful subtle honey scent – so your candles already feel rather special before we’ve added a thing.
You’ll learn how to:
Prepare and position your wick
Warm and work with natural beeswax sheets
Roll your wax evenly to create chunky candles
Trim and finish your candles neatly
Add beautiful natural Christmas decorations
No candle-making experience is needed. We’ll demonstrate everything step by step and be there to help along the way.
Give Them a Little Christmas Magic
Once your candles are rolled, it’s time to make them festive!
You’ll have a selection of natural and rustic Christmas decorations to choose from, which may include:
Dried orange slices
Cinnamon sticks
Dried botanicals and greenery
Dried flowers
Natural festive embellishments
Rustic ribbons
Jute twine
Tie, layer and arrange your decorations around your candles to create a beautiful pair that suits your own Christmas style.
Keep them simple and Scandi-inspired, go wonderfully rustic and natural, or pile on the festive details.
Beeswax already smells absolutely gorgeous, but you’ll also have the option to add a touch of Christmas fragrance for an extra seasonal finish.
Please note: All decorative ribbons, dried foliage and other flammable embellishments must be removed before lighting your candles.
Box Up Your Handmade Gift
Now for the satisfying bit…
Your finished candles will be nestled together in a brown kraft gift box on a bed of shredded paper, transforming your creations into a beautiful handmade Christmas present.
Arrange everything just so, add your finishing touches and then try very hard not to decide that perhaps you’ll keep them for yourself after all.
And because a handmade gift deserves some rather special handmade wrapping, we’re going one step further…
Try Indian Block Printing
You’ll also get the chance to try traditional Indian block printing, using beautifully carved wooden printing blocks and paint to create your own festive designs.
You’ll print:
Your own kraft gift tag
A sheet of coordinating Christmas wrapping paper
Choose from our collection of festive printing blocks and create a repeating pattern, mix different designs or keep things beautifully simple.
It’s wonderfully satisfying, slightly addictive and means that even the wrapping is made by you.
Once everything is finished, you’ll have your candles, presentation box, printed wrapping paper and matching tag ready to turn into one seriously lovely Christmas present.
