Big Bale Adventure is an outdoor straw bale maze, open Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays, 10:00-15:00 (last admission 14:30), during the school summer holidays. Like any outdoor, physical play activity, it carries inherent risks, including uneven ground and the possibility of slips, trips or falls; climbing on, or collision with, straw bale structures including two large pyramids, a mini pyramid and a crawl-through tunnel; a designated jumping area; sun, heat and weather; a stream near the field (shallow, but still a water hazard); and the presence of other visitors in a busy outdoor space.

This is a parent-managed play area. By purchasing this ticket, you confirm that you are the parent or legal guardian of any child(ren) attending with you (or that you are 18 or over and attending in your own right), and that you and any child(ren) in your care will: stay within the marked maze area; not climb on the straw bales; not run in the maze; keep away from the stream; not smoke or use naked flames, BBQs or fireworks on the field; and follow staff instructions and the site rules displayed at entry. Parents and guardians remain wholly responsible for supervising their own child(ren) at all times; staff manage the site and respond to incidents, but do not act as childminders.

We take reasonable care to keep the site and the maze safe. However, participation is at your own risk, and — other than as set out below — we do not accept liability for injury, loss or damage arising from the ordinary risks of this activity, save where caused by our negligence.

Nothing here excludes or limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for any other liability that cannot be excluded or limited under applicable law.
